The first DutchCham Business Award Gala Dinner on Tuesday 31 March at the Hyatt in Singapore featured the award presentation of the Singapore-Netherlands Water Challenge 2014-2015.

Proud winners of the Urban Water Rebels program, Ms. Nishtha Manocha from Singapore and a team from Indonesia consisting of Ms. Ravina Binol, Mr. David Ginting and Ms. Tri Handayani received their awards from the hands of HE Mr. Jacques Werner, Ambassador of the Netherlands to Singapore [picture above].

“This is your home”, said Minister for Environment and Water Resources Vivian Balakrishnan to the Dutch business community at the inaugural DutchCham Business Award Gala. “There will always be a place in Singapore for Dutch companies and people from the Netherlands.”

Following just one week after the death Singapore founder Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the event honoured the longstanding relationship between Singapore and the Netherlands, with several companies and organisations being recognised with the newly announced Winsemius Awards - named after Mr. Lee Kuan Yew’s dear friend and long-time economic advisor to Singapore, Dutchman Albert Winsemius.
